Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an often heard term, which is doing the rounds these days. Many companies have realized that they need to repay to society in some form, for what they abundantly receive from it. Social causes of diff erent nature benefi ting the community are addressed through these programmes.

The New Era Group is celebrating their Golden Jubilee in the year 2009-10 and to commemorate this, a Charitable Out-patient clinic was inaugurated on 3rd, July 2009 at the Headquarters in Coimbatore, as a CSR initiative.

The Clinic functions in the evenings for 2 hours everyday, and caters to Health Care of the less privileged in the society by providing free consultation and medicines for general ailments. On an average, about 600 patients benefi t from this programme every month.

Dr. Ramkumar Raghupathy, Dean, G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memoral Hospital declared the clinic open by cutting the ribbon and Rotary Dist.Gov.Rtn.Captain Mathews and Rtn.Manivannan, President Rotary Metropolis lighted the Kuthuvilakku. This project is also supported by Rotary Coimbatore Metropolis.
